It gives me great pleasure to be the principal of Gavilan View Middle School. Home of the Hawks. Through a collaborative spirit Gavilan View will continue providing students high quality instruction and enrichment activities that support all students in a safe and caring learning environment. Gavilan View staff and I look forward to working with students, celebrating successes, meeting parents and engaging our community in the Gavilan View culture.

Local Control Accountability Goals:
Goal 1: All students will have access to rigorous instruction provided by highly qualified teachers and supported by highly effective leadership with appropriate resources.
Goal 2: All students will achieve academic proficiency through appropriate classroom placement, including strategic groupings for effective classroom based interventions to support full access to the common core state standards, rigorous instruction and socio-economic supports.
Goal 3: We strive to significantly increase parent and community engagement to inspire them to be actively involved in preparing their students to be College and Career Ready and to reduce chronic absenteeism.
The Santa Rita Union School District (Local Educational Agency) has adopted a policy that prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying based on actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics. The policy includes the following: a) A statement that it applies to all acts related to school activity or school attendance within a school under the jurisdiction of the superintendent of the school district. b) Requirement that school personnel take immediate steps to intervene when safe to do so when he or she witnesses an act of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying.
